Lincolnshire waterways set to benefit from new marina

Boat owners in Lincolnshire could be set to benefit from the opening of a new marina, potentially bringing a raft of new jobs to the area.

A multi-million pound marina development has been proposed at Eastfield Rise Farm in Cherry Willingham, just a short drive from the city of Lincoln. In addition to the marina, the project would see a hotel, restaurant and holiday lodge built on the complex.

The move could also provide a significant fillip to tourism in the area, allowing greater access to to the county's major landmarks including the River Witham and the Viking Way route.

Andy Jee, project manager for the Lincolnshire Waterways Partnership comments: "Businesses and communities along our waterways will benefit from improved boating facilities."

Are you looking for boat and personal safety equipment? You can find hundreds of accessories on the Mailspeed Marine website.

Boat owners in Plymstock area of Plymouth are being urged to sign up to a new scheme to keep their craft safe from crime.

The Plymstock neighbourhood police team has launched Boat Watch, designed for the waters in and around Plymouth. Based on the same principles as Neighbourhood Watch, the aim is to bring together those involved in boating to tackle marine crime.

Police say they recognise boating is still an immensely popular leisure activity in the region with numerous clubs and associations, as well as individuals, regularly using local waters. It runs alongside a thriving boating industry, ranging from small inflatable boats to luxury yachts.

However, they say, watercraft are easy targets for thieves.

The Plymstock police say they aim to keep in regular contact with the marine communities, clubs, associations and professional bodies with regular bulletins and details of stolen boats and property.

Dragon boat team enters record books

A Dragon Boat team from Oxfordshire has raced into the record books after paddling 109 miles in 24 hours, comfortably beating the existing world record by 4.4km.

The adrenaline-fuelled challenge took place on Derwent Water in the Lake District, and was almost halted by high winds, causing the event to be postponed for four hours.

One competitor from the 20-man team, David Buckland, commented on the gruelling nature of the challenge:

“It was daunting.

“Although we knew we had to keep going for 24 hours we didn’t know how we’d perform so it was a real step into the unknown.

“We were worried about the high winds returning and scuppering our attempt at the finish line and having to contend with rowing through backwashes from passenger ferries.

“We were also worried about capsizing the boat especially in the dark as it would have scuppered the record.

“It was just relentless, we were all running on adrenaline.”

Let's just hope they packed their life jackets!

Why Buy Sailing Jackets?

Find out about why a sailing jacket is great not only out to sea, but for everyday use too. The following shows you what to look out for when shopping for sailing jackets...

Features

The seams should be double stitched for maximum strength and the entire sailing jacket, including the sleeves should be lined. The collar must have a zip that runs all the way round and pockets should zip up too. It is also common to find waterproof jackets with no pockets to prevent the risk of leakage.

Consider
Remember, it does not have to be cold for it to rain. This means it is important to find sailing jackets that are roomy and allow perspiration to escape so that you don’t get too hot on wet summer days. You should also buy a jacket according to the type of boat you are on as you may need higher protection on vessels with not much inside space.

Comfort
Aside from the protection it provides you, a sailing jacket must also feel comfortable. This is especially true if you are going to be active on the boat because you want to be able to move freely without having to worry about being restricted. There is no reason why you cannot enjoy yourself through horrid weather!

Killer stingray found off shore of Shetland

A deadly violet stingray has been caught off the coast of Shetland.

A Scottish fishing boat managed to reel in the rare creature, which has a poisonous barb that can prove fatal.

A stingray killed popular 'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin as he filmed a documentary in 2006.

The skipper of the boat that netted the stingray, Michael Henderson, revealed the crew's shock at the finding:

"We've never seen anything like it."

"Initially we thought it was a common stingray, which would have been very rare around Shetland, but we checked our book and discovered it was the violet stingray, which is unheard of in these waters.

"It is a long, long way from home and we were wary of it.

"We handled it with great care. It has a very dangerous poisoned barb and we knew what happened to Steve Irwin.”

A Guide to Using Flares

Emergency flares are essential to anybody that intends to go out sailing, whether it is around the world or simply on an inshore lake, if something goes wrong, distress flares can make the difference between life and death. Sailing flares for sale vary depending on their intended use but the principal of emergency flares remains the same, that is, to enable a boat in distress to attract the attention of rescuers.

Distress Flares Usage Guide

•Distress flares are divided into three types, inshore, coastal and offshore. Offshore flares are recommended for any boat that intends to go further than 10miles out to see, coastal and inshore distress flares are self-explanatory. The main differences between these sailing flares (other than the price) are what the flares are capable of.

Offshore distress flares can be fired up to 1000ft into the air and can be seen from more than 25miles away. These emergency flares are either fired by a flare gun or a by a rocket (similar to a firework). These distress flares float down on a parachute which enables them to be seen for over a minute.

•The other types of sailing flares for sale are the handheld types such as those offered by Hansson Ikaros . These are recommended for all uses, especially when inshore.

•Emergency flares are only of any use when somebody else can see them choose the moment to fire distress flares carefully. When it comes to firing sailing flares from a flare gun, hold the flare gun in both hands and aim roughly 60 degrees above the horizon (more in high winds), with the wind on your back. Make sure that you are not going to hit any other boats or buildings on land that could be caught on fire.

•Handheld sailing flares are very useful for inshore or coastal situations where the shorter line of sight is not such as issue. Handheld emergency flares are also very useful in offshore situations when a rescue helicopter or ship is nearby.

Handheld emergency flares are ignited by different means and it is always highly recommended to check how your individual flares are operated a common method is by pulling on a chord or a chain that is on the bottom of the distress flares. These sailing flares are designed to be waved in the hand when standing on the deck of the boat. When using these distress flares, wave them over the edge of the boat to ensure that sailing flares will not set the boat on fire in the event that they are dropped.

•All emergency flares have an expiry date (usually 3 years after manufacture) printed on the side of them. All distress flares should be replaced if the expiry date is reached.

•Hansson Ikaros offer packs of sailing flares designed for different uses. For Instance the Offshore Emergency Flares Pack contains 4 rocket flares, 4 handheld flares and 2 smoke flares.

•It is recommended that the minimum amount of distress flares to have on board at any one time is four but of course it doesn’t hurt to have even more than that in the event of a real emergency and you end up relying on your sailing flares. Sailing flares come in waterproof containers but should be kept in a watertight container as an extra precaution.

A Guide to Outboard Engines

Outboard engines have been used on small boats for decades and an outboard engine is a very good and cost effective way of powering a boat. Inboard boat engines are very large and heavy, whereas outboard engines are small and light which means they are perfect for dinghies and other small boats. An outboard engine also has the advantage of being removable, meaning that they can easily be switched between boats and be taken off for maintenance or replacing outboard parts. Read on to find out more about outboard engines.

Outboard Engines Info

• Outboard engines come in a number of sizes and power outputs ranging from small units suitable for dinghies and other small watercraft to very large models that are used on offshore powerboats for high performance.

• The most common outboard engines for sale are the smaller variety which. These outboard engines provide the correct amount of power for small boats. An outboard engine like this is also light which means that it is easily moveable and won’t affect the handling of the craft too much. A small outboard engine such as the Honda BF 2.3HP fits this description perfectly and is suitable for a wide range of boats. This outboard engine for sale is also extremely well priced.

• An outboard engine is also a big advantage over other boat engines in that the outboard engine is mounted on a point that swivels meaning it also serves as the rudder, negating the need for more complex control systems.

• Outboard engines can come in a number of configurations including 2, 3, or even 8 cylinder engine blocks that provide huge amounts of power. Obviously, larger outboard engines become much harder to move both while sailing and between boats. The large majority of outboard engines for sale on Mailspeed Marine are four stroke, single cylinder models.

• An outboard engine also has advantages over inboard boat engines as they are much easier to maintain and to replace outboard parts. Because most of an outboard engine is above the water level, outboard engines are very easy to access to repair. Outboard engines can also be lifted out of the water when not in use to prevent the build up of seaweed and other growth on the propeller, something which is not possible with inboard boat engines. An outboard engine such as the Suzuki DF5 standard shaft is a good all round outboard engine.

• It is also possible to get propeller-less outboard engines that are known as pump jets and they take in, and then expel the water to produce thrust. These outboard engines are fairly rare but are excellent for use in shallow water where a propeller outboard engine could become tangled.

• Electric outboard engines are also available. These boat engines, such as the Torqeedo Base Travel 401 are fairly quiet and are very good as a backup outboard engine, on waterways where petrol boat engines are not allowed, or on small boats that are used for fishing.

• Outboard parts such as engine covers or outboard engine carry bags are very good additions to protect your outboard engine.

Choosing the Best Life Jacket for you

Choosing the Best Life Jacketfor you

Choosing the right life jacket for the type of sailing you are doing is important. There are many brands you can choose from including Crewsaver, Spinlock, Ocean Safety & Baltic. You must take the necessary safety precautions so that if you end up in the water you can stay afloat however close to rescue you might be. Even if you are a very strong swimmer you need to wear a life jacket just in case. This article will outline the standard types of lifejackets and which ones are best for which boating activities.

Types of Life Jacket

Offshore Life Jacket 275 Newton + – this life jacket is best for use in open or rough water away from the shoreline. This jacket will keep you safe for a long period of time until rescue reaches you. These lifejackets have lots of benefits including keeping you afloat the best, they are a highly visible colour and if you are unconscious then the jacket should keep you face up so you don’t drown. The only real disadvantage of this life jacket is that it is quite bulky.

Inshore/Coastal Lifejacket 150 Newton – 275 Newton – this type of life jacket is good for inland water where the conditions are calm and the rescue should be fast. These life jackets only turn some people face up in the water when unconscious so it is not as good as the offshore jacket if you have been injured. The near-shore buoyant vest is however more comfortable to wear and less bulky than the offshore jacket.

Flotation/Buoyancy Aid
– this is very good for conscious users on inland water where they can be rescued quickly. Buoyancy aids are available in many styles like vests and floatation coats. These are easily the most comfortable to wear for long periods of time and are popular with dinghy sailors and canoeists. This is not good enough when used in the sea, if rough water occurs then the wearers face will become submerged.

Round the Island Race 2010

What will you be doing this Saturday at 5am? I would imagine most of you will be tucked up in bed fast asleep, however for the crew of some 1754 yachts they will be getting ready to start the 2010 Round the Island Race.

The race run by the Island Sailing Club is now in it's 79th year and is the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK (Behind the London Marathon and Great North and South runs if you were wondering). The race follows a 50 nautical mile course Westbound around the Isle of Wight that pits professional round the world record breaking sailors and there flying machines against families in their weekend cruising yachts. While the pro's generally thrash round in a few hours (the course record is held by Francis Joyon in 3hrs 08 mins 29 seconds) the family cruisers battle round almost all day hanging on to the prospect of claiming a major scalp on handicap or winning their fleet.

If you can get down to the Solent on Saturday it's well worth a trip as this truly is quite a spectacular event to watch (however it's worth checking the times as the fleet will disappear round the back of the island for a few hours)alternatively why not try out the new feature for this year on the Round the Island website where you can track the fleet round the course.

Good luck to all that are taking part and lets hope the weather is good.

Teen Solo Sailor Hits trouble in the Indian Ocean

Teen solo sailor Abby Sunderland sparked a desperate overnight search mission in the Indian Ocean last night after setting of 2 emergency beacons.

It is believed that Abby was talking to her parents via satellite phone when they lost signal, they reported on her blog that should had been suffering difficulties and had experienced repeated knock downs with winds up to 60knots and 50 foot waves. Her position was believed to be about 2,000 miles of the coast of Madagascar.

Abby's parents said

"We were helping her troubleshoot her engine that she was trying to start to charge her systems. Satellite phone reception was patchy. She was able to get the water out of the engine and start up. We were waiting to hear back from her when American search and rescue authorities called to report having received a signal from her emergency beacon," they said. "We are working closely with American, French and Australian search and rescue authorities to coordinate several ships in the area to divert to her location."

Despite these efforts it is believed that the closest ship was still some 2 days away, however last night Abby's parents posted this update on her web site

'ABBY IS FINE!

We have just heard from the Australian Search and Rescue. The plane arrived on the scene moments ago. Wild Eyes is upright but her rigging is down. The weather conditions are abating. Radio communication was made and Abby reports that she is fine!

We don't know much else right now. The French fishing vessel that was diverted to her location will be there in a little over 24 hours. Where they will take her or how long it will take we don't know.

More updates as news comes in.

Laurence & Marianne'

The 16 year old Sunderland from California is the latest of a stream of teenage sailors vying for the title of youngest person to sail solo around the world. She had hoped initially to do the journey non stop but was forced into port in South Africa to repairs to her autopilot. Her Brother Zac Sunderland claimed the record as the youngest person to sail solo around the world last year (a record which was then broken by British teenager Mike Perham).

I'm sure this scare for Abby all though fortunately it looks to have a happy ending will only heighten the debate surrounding this new craze to be the youngest ever person to sail around the world which has been met by much criticism from many well respected persons and governing bodies.

We wish Abby a safe return to shore.

Raymarine sold to FLIR Systems inc

A statement late on Friday issued by Raymarine reads: Raymarine plc (the “Company”), a global leader in the supply of electronic products to the leisure marine market, has today reached agreement to sell its shares in Raymarine Holdings Limited to a subsidiary of FLIR Systems, Inc. (“FLIR”) a world leader in thermal imaging products.

The sale represents the entire business operations of Raymarine and its subsidiaries. On 29 April 2010, following an extensive M&A (mergers and acquisition) process, the Company’s directors announced to shareholders that they were in advanced discussions with a third party regarding the sale of Raymarine Holdings Limited.

It was envisaged that this transaction, once completed and following repayment of the group’s bank borrowings and other creditors, would result in approximately 17.5 pence per share for the Company’s shareholders. The Board of Raymarine was unable to complete a solvent sale of the company and it was placed into Administration earlier today. Chad Griffin and Simon Granger of FTI Consulting were appointed as Joint Administrators. No other subsidiary in the Raymarine group was placed into Administration. Shortly following the Administration, the successful sale to FLIR was transacted.

Based on current information this transaction would equate to a return to shareholders of approximately 20 pence per share before costs and any creditor claims. However, the Administrators will not be able to confirm the precise amount until they have advertised for creditor claims.

The sale of the business follows a thorough M&A process by the Company and a series of discussions with various interested parties. The Administrators concluded that the sale to FLIR provided the best available outcome for employees, shareholders and creditors. The transaction ensures business as usual for all customers and suppliers of the Raymarine Group.

Earl Lewis, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of FLIR Systems, Inc. commented: “We are pleased to announce this strategically compelling transaction. Raymarine is a leading brand in the industry and has an outstanding reputation for high quality marine electronics equipment. When fully integrated, we expect to have a significant marine electronics business as part of our Commercial Systems business. I welcome Raymarine’s employees to FLIR.”

Application has been made for the listing of, and trading in, the shares of Raymarine Plc on the London Stock Exchange to be cancelled and shareholders will be contacted in due course in relation to their position.

Further information for shareholders relating to the Administration will shortly be made available on www.raymarine.com.

Raymarine administration fears

The un-named company who are interested in buying marine electronics specialist Raymarine have said that they will only proceed with their proposed buy out if Raymarine goes into administration.

Raymarine announced that the un-named company 'would be willing to enter into a transaction with the administrator to acquire Raymarine Holdings Limited for a consideration that is likely to equate to approximately 17.5 pence per share (before administration costs) in providing for the repayment of the Raymarine group's banking facilities'

The Raymarine board are currently believed to be in talks with it's banks to try to resolve the situation, with any deal needing to be finalised today.

America's Cup Shake UP

Well after the debacle that was the 33rd America's Cup it looks as though both challengers and holders want a fresh new approach to how the cup is set up and run.

Speaking at the first press conference of the 34th America's Cup in Rome four time winner Russell Coutts said "Diktat has been replaced by discussion, confrontation by consultation."

Designers Bruce Nelson and Peter Melvin have created 2 different concepts, 1 multihull and 1 monohull rules for which are due to be released on the 30th of September, teams are due to sit down this month to discuss which concept to adopt and will begin to create a design rule.

The new class rule will be governed by 4 key requirements;
*It should produce dynamic and close racing
*It should use advanced, efficient and cost effective technologies
*It should be distinctive and epitomize the pinnacle of the sport
*It should be able to race in any venue in winds from 5-35 knots

In stark contrast to the last cup event host cities are being sought for a series of races between the cup teams and will be integrated into the America's Cup event.

So things are looking up for the worlds oldest international sports trophy, but then again with 2013 being cited as the earliest opportunity to host the cup then there is still plenty of time for the arguing to start again.

Sea Cadet Dies During Training Exercise

A 14 year old boy has died after falling from the rigging of a training ship on Sunday night. The Sea cadet was a member of crew on the flagship vessel TS Royalist a 97ft twin masted brig which had been taking part in the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Sea Cadets in Portsmouth.

The boy is believed to have fallen nearly 30 feet from the rigging whilst assisting in a routine exercise, it is currently unclear to whether he was wearing a harness which is mandatory during this exercise. He is believed to have been in the water for around 4 minutes before being recovered by the ships rescue boat and airlifted to hospital by the Solent Coastguard Helicopter after a Mayday call was made. Unfortunately the boy was pronounced dead on arrival at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.

The teenager was part of 19 crew and 10 staff who had been aboard the ship since Friday.

Becky MacGibbon, spokeswoman for the Marine Society and Sea Cadets, said: 'It's absolutely tragic. 'It was a routine exercise that he had done 11 times over the weekend.

'It was a routine exercise they have carried out for 39 years.

'This is the first time there has been an accident.

'There was a sailing master, a bosun and a watch officer there at the time.'

Raymarine reject Garmins offer

Well after yesterdays reports that Garmin had tabled an offer to the Raymarine shareholders for the purchase of their rivals, news has just been announced that the Raymarine board has urged it's shareholders to take no action with regards to this offer.

The Raymarine board have however announced that they are in advanced talks with a third party over the sale of Raymarine Holdings LTD who are offering a price of 17.5p per share (the Garmin offer was 15p per share).

we will keep you posted on any further news

Garmin bid for Raymarine

After months of speculation marine electronics specialist Garmin have made a formal offer to acquire competitor Raymarine for a price of 15 pence per share. If approved the deal would see Garmin pay Raymarine shareholders an estimated £12.5 million, Garmin would also have to taken the significant debt that Raymarine currently owe, last published at a net figure of £91.6 million.

Raymarine have seen a sharp drop in share price from there peak in April 2007 at 490p per share this has been blamed on the whole on the decline in demand for hi-end electronics since the economic down turn.

There seems to be mixed opinions to whether the merger will be allowed to go through due to competition laws, but Garmin believe when combined the 2 company's will still below 30% of the market share which is below the level where concerns normally arise.

We will keep you posted with any further updates.

Gillingham to Southampton - keep turning right

A boater had to be rescued after believing he could make it to Southampton without charts by keeping the coast to his right

A motorboater who thought he was sailing around the coast of the UK but was in fact circling the Isle of Sheppey off the coast of Kent had to be rescued by the RNLI earlier this month after running out of fuel.

It is believed the 45-year-old gentleman bought his 20-odd-foot motor boat online, and set off from Gillingham thinking he could reach Southampton on one 20lt tank of fuel.

He didn't take any charts or navigational equipment, instead thinking that if he kept the coast to his right, he could navigate into the North Sea, through the Dover Straits and onto the Solent.

But his plan came undone when he ended up sailing round the eight-mile-wide Isle of Sheppey for a day and a half before running out of fuel.

His told rescuers that since he could drive to Southampton on one tank of fuel, he could make the same journey by boat on just one tank.

Coastguard Ian Goodwin said: "We passed on relevant safety advice and advised him that the best way to Southampton would be by train.

"However, he said he would get some fuel and get under way but asked us if he went left or right when he came out of the Swale."

Guide to racing lifejackets

Racing Lifejackets: What’s Hot?

If you are searching for racing life jackets, the amount of variety on the market can make this a tough decision. There are plenty of factors to consider when it comes to racing lifejackets, so read this guide to learn more about what’s available out there.

Racing Life Jackets Buying Guide

Crewsaver 190 Life Jackets, £199.99

The 190N Zipped Plus is one of the best jackets out there right now. It took two years of research to come up with this gem, and there’s no doubting the fact that much care has been put into the design of this life jacket.

Specialist features include a body that’s shorter than the average in order to allow increased manoeuvrability and comfort. Thought has been put into the back of the jacket to ease pressure both in and out of the water.

The asymmetric bladder design helps to boost safety, as the wearer is turned onto their back in a much quicker time in comparison to a standard jacket. A built-in hood and light further safeguard the wearer’s security in a Crewsaver 190 Life Jacket.

Click here to watch Pete from Crewsaver showing us this lifejacket at it’s launch at London Boat show.

Spinlock Deck Vest Life Jacket, £194.99

This trendy Spinlock Deck Vest turns the traditional lifejacket design on its head. Unsurprisingly, Spinlock’s innovative design technique has attracted the attention of lots of buyers. But how does it differ from the norm?

Well, the designers of this jacket have produced arguably the most lightweight model currently available on the market. Much thought has been put into the wearer’s comfort and flexibility – the Spinlock offers maximum freedom of movement and the soft neoprene neck cover offers an extra degree of comfort.

Other features that make this product such a strong contender in the racing life jackets market include retro-reflective strips for enhanced visibility, integral spray hood, light weight harness attachment point and integral AQ98 light.

"Men wanted for hazardous journey"

Scottish adventurer Jock Wishart has announced his plans to be the first to row to the magnetic north pole. The expedition will start from Resolute Bay in Canada and will take in a 450 mile route through the ice fields to the pole.

This expedition has only become possible over recent years as the route was previously impassable by boat, but due to climate change and the thawing of the ice joch believes that he and his team will have a window of just a few weeks to make it through before the water freezes again.

If your sitting there wishing you could do something like that, then maybe you can. Jock is looking for 5 willing and able crew to go along with him on the expedition which is due to start in July 2011.

Wishart quotes Ernest Shackletons advert in the Times when he was recruiting for the Nimrod trip in an "Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful."

Hmmm not exactly selling it to me but I'm sure there will be plenty of people willing to give it a go.

Good luck to them.

Extreme Sailing Returns To Cowes

One of Europe's most iconic sailing venues will welcome back the Extreme Sailing Series this summer for the second leg of the five-event circuit.

The home of UK yacht racing, Cowes on the Isle of Wight will host the only UK stop. The ‘Extreme Sailing Series at Cowes Week' will build on the success of 2009 where the Extreme 40 racing was a key attraction during this world famous regatta, with celebrities Simon Le Bon, Ben Fogle and F1 chief Nick Fry vying for 5th man spots on board, and BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank performing a live set in the public bar. The racing in 2010 will be held later in the day, from 5pm on some days, to ensure the sailors taking part in Cowes Week as well as the general public can enjoy the great entertainment on the water while enjoying a relaxed drink, food, commentary and music at the Egypt Point race village.

Gilles Chiorri, Event Director for OC Events, commented: "The Extreme Sailing Series at Cowes Week was a huge success in 2009 with not only the general public lining the seafront to watch the sailing, but sailors racing in other classes heading down to Egypt Point as soon as they finished their own racing to watch the Extreme 40 spectacle. We hope to continue that trend in 2010 with much of the racing starting after the main Cowes Week fleets have finished - there will be plenty to see and do at Egypt Point and we look forward to welcoming everyone there."

Stuart Quarrie, CEO of Cowes Week Limited added, "We're delighted to welcome the Extreme 40s back to Cowes Week in 2010. Last year the racing added hugely to the great spectacle of our regatta and, having taken onboard the feedback received, we're delighted that some of the racing will be held later in the day enabling more Cowes Week sailors to enjoy the spectacle too".

Four of the five venues have now been confirmed for the 2010 Extreme Sailing Series European circuit with the final venue announcement due on 21 April. With more races scheduled than ever before, the 2010 circuit will see up to ten teams battling it out for the title, won in 2009 by Pete Cumming (GBR) and his crew on Oman Sail Masirah.

In a change to the 2009 format, every day of sailing will count in 2010 - four days of points scoring racing in Sète (FRA), Trapani (ITA) and Almería (ESP) - whilst the organisers, OC Events, will capitalise on the only UK leg being played out at the same time as Cowes Week with six days of racing for the teams. The opening day in each venue is a dedicated point-scoring ‘Media Day' with all fifth man slots reserved for journalists and reporters and the remaining days will play host to not only the Media but VIP guests, with courses laid close to shore to entertain the general public.

The calendar for the 2010 Extreme Sailing Series Europe is confirmed as:

Sète, France 27-30 May
Cowes, United Kingdom 31 July-5 August
Germany 26 -29 August
Trapani, Italy 23-26 September
Almería, Spain 9-12 October
